2. What data we collect

• Enquiry and quote details — your name, company, email, telephone, project or delivery location, the items and quantities you request, and any BOQ, drawing or document you upload.
• Correspondence — messages you send us by form, email or WhatsApp.
• Analytics data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, collected only after you accept analytics cookies.
• Bookings / payments — not applicable. This website does not take bookings and does not process payments or card details.

3. Cookies and Google Analytics

We use a small number of essential cookies and local storage entries so the site works — for example remembering your quote basket and your cookie choice. These are always active because the site cannot function without them.

With your consent we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used in aggregate. Nothing non-essential loads before you accept: the analytics script is not requested at all until you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you choose "Decline", analytics stays dormant. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser, which brings the banner back.

4. How we use your data

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotations and offers.
• To supply, deliver and support the materials you order.
• To keep records of commercial correspondence.
• To improve the structure, catalogue and performance of this website.

We do not use your details for unrelated marketing without your agreement, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

5. Where your data is stored

Website submissions and uploaded files are stored in our managed cloud backend (Lovable Cloud, built on Supabase infrastructure), protected by access controls so only authorised Qutbi Trading W.L.L staff can view them. Some processing may take place on servers outside Bahrain; in those cases we rely on the provider's contractual safeguards for international transfers.

6. Third parties

• Google — Google Analytics, and Google Fonts / Maps for site presentation, subject to Google's own privacy terms.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — if you contact us through the WhatsApp buttons, your message and number are processed by WhatsApp under its own terms.
• Email and hosting providers — used to deliver and store our correspondence.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.

7. Data retention

Enquiries and quotations are kept for as long as needed for the commercial relationship and for any statutory record-keeping period that applies in Bahrain, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration.
